Multiple shell casings were found at the scene of a Newark West Ward shooting Friday evening.
A ShotSpotter device alerted police of shots fired in the 90's block of 9th Street shortly before 7 p.m.
When cops arrived at the scene, they found multiple shell casings, but no injuries were reported after officers canvassed the neighborhood.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
