Police in Fair Lawn launched an investigation into a crash that left one person seriously injured on a road in the Borough.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to Route 208 near Bergdan Avenue to investigate reports of a crash with trapped occupants shortly before 11:50 p.m.
Emergency responders and rescue crews arrived to find a vehicle on fire with a person trapped inside according to reports.
Crews were able to extricate the victim then provide CPR before transporting to the hospital.
Police temporarily closed southbound lanes of the highway from Fair Lawn to Morot avenues for the investigation.
The cause of the crash has not been determined at this time.
