Bergen County authorities temporarily closed Route 4 in Englewood to investigate a pedestrian strike that caused severe injuries to a person Sunday morning.
Police say it happened around 1:10 a.m. near Teaneck Road.
In the incident, The Bergen County Sheriff's Office and EMS responded to reports of an injured person.
When they arrived, they found the unidentified person suffering serious injuries at that location.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment while police closed all lanes on the highway for the investigation.
There were no other injuries reported at this time.
