One person was rushed to a hospital in Passaic County, suffering severe injuries after being struck by a car in Hawthorne Friday night.
Police were dispatched to the vicinity of 991 Goffle Road to investigate reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle shortly before 8:40 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found the unidentified victim suffering injuries after a vehicle struck them at that location.
EMS rushed the injured to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment while police notified The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office to assist in the investigation.
The cause of the collision has not been determined.
