NJ State Police are looking into the cause of a crash that severely injured at least one person on a major highway in Newark.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 5 a.m., State Troopers rushed to the southbound lanes of the NJ Turnpike near exit 14 to investigate reports of a crash.
Emergency responders arrived and found the vehicles involved in a collision with several injuries.
According to initial reports, one person suffered severe injuries and is in grave condition due to the crash.
Police closed all lanes to investigate the crash and to moved the damaged vehicles.
The official cause of the crash is under investigation.
