Trenton Police officials are reporting life threatening injuries for a male found suffering a bullet wound in his chest at a location in the city Sunday evening.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the 600 block of West State Street at approximately 6:10 p.m. sending several police officers to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, officers found the unidentified, unconscious victim bleeding from his chest after a gunman fired rounds that struck him.
Police say the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
