Officials at The NJ State Police are investigating a crash that left one person suffering life-threatening injuries on a highway in Union County overnight.
According to police, the crash happened at approximately 1 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near exit 138.
Police say officers arrived at the scene and found a car crashed into a pole at that location.
As of 2 a.m., police would only confirm one person to be in critical condition and minor injuries for one other victim.
The cause of the crash has not been determined at this time.
