Bridgewater Police detective are investigating a pedestrian strike that injured a female early Thursday morning.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders rushed to the vicinity of 757 East Main Street to investigate reports of a person struck by a car at approximately 3:12 a.m.
Upon arrival, rescue crews found a severely injured, unconscious, and unresponsive female lying on the ground at that location.
Medical professionals provided life-saving techniques on the victim before rushing her toa hospital for additional treatment.
Police temporarily closed Polhemus Lane to Morgan Lane for the accident investigation.
Authoritities would only confirm severe injuries for the woman as of 4:22 a.m.
