An overnight two-car crash that occurred in the city sent several people to the hospital.
EMS transported three people to University Hospital at around 11:45 p.m. after arriving to the scene to find two vehicles that had collided in the 100 block of Pennington Street. The impact of the crash caused one of the vehicles to crash into a building at that location.
One of the victims suffered serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Newark Police.
