An early morning car crash sent several people to the hospital and now has police investigating in South Orange.
The accident happened just outside of the Seton Hall University Campus on the South Orange Avenue and Center Street side shortly before 4 a.m.
Emergency responder rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a crash with trapped and injured occupants.
Crews arrived at the site and observed a severely damaged overturned vehicle with at least three people trapped at that location. There was one other vehicle involved in the crash.
At least three people were transported to University Hospital in Newark suffering serious injuries.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
