Several victims were transported to the hospital after a crash in Newark's upper West Ward on Monday.
The early morning collision happened around 1:35 a.m. near the intersection of South Orange and Sanford avenues.
A preliminary investigation indicated that two vehicles collided near the intersection, causing one of the cars to slam into a pole at that location.
About four occupants from both vehicles suffered non-fatal injuries due to the collision.
Newark Traffic and Signal Division were requested to the scene for the down pole.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
