Several people were transported to University Hospital suffering minor injuries after an early morning incident on a NJ Transit bus in Newark.
Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Central Avenue and 1st Street after receiving reports of a bus crash with injuries.
Arriving emergency crews found no collision had occurred between a NJ Transit Bus and a car but several passengers on the bus suffered injuries after falling when the driver quickly applied the break to avoid the collision according to preliminary reports.
About six patients suffered non-life threatening injuries reprorts said.
The incident is under investigation.
