Three Newark firefighters were treated by EMS after battling a fire at 421 South 15th Street today, reports say.
Officials say that firefighters responded to the fire, at a 3-story vacant residence, just before 5:40 a.m. The fire was located on the second floor and spread to the building’s third floor and roof. No injuries were reported. Three city firefighters received oxygen and remained on duty.
The fire was considered under control at 6:27 a.m., according to reports.
The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation by the Newark Fire Division’s Arson Unit.
