Police in Paterson responded swiftly to a shooting incident early Saturday morning that led to the arrest of several suspects and the recovery of a loaded firearm.
According to preliminary information, around 3:05 a.m., a ShotSpotter device alerted police to gunfire near 73 Market Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered more than a half dozen shell casings scattered on the ground.
Following an immediate investigation, authorities took approximately four individuals into custody and recovered a loaded weapon.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection to the incident.
The motive behind the gunfire and the intended target remains unclear, and the shooting is under active investigation by Paterson Police.
