EMS rushed one person to the hospital after they found the victim suffering severe injuries when a car struck them at a location in North Bergen.
It happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Tonnelle Avenue and 43rd Street where emergency responders were informed of a severely injured person at that location.
Upon their arrival, police found the unconscious victim lying on the ground and the driver of the car still at the scene.
Detectives for the North Bergen Police Department are investgiating the cause of the incident.
