Police in Newark are investigating a pedestrian strike that left a person seriously injured Saturday evening.
Emergency responders were dispatched to West Kinney Street to investigate reports of a person hit by a car around 6:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews found an unidentified person suffering severe injuries after a vehicle struck them at that location.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital for treatment while police remained at the scene looking into the cause.
No other injuries were reported.
