A pedestrian struck by a car on an Old Bridge Township street was rushed to the hospital suffering severe injuries on Friday night.
According to police, the incident happened on Annie Drive just before 10:15 where they received reports of an injured person at that location.
Units arrived at the scene and found the seriously injured unidentified person police said.
The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson medical Center where doctors began treating their injuries.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the victim reportedly stayed at the scene.
The official cause of the incident remains under investigation.
