NJ State Police officials are investigating a crash that severely injured a person on a highway in Woodbridge Township Monday.
The late-night collision happened around 11:30 p.m. on the NJ Turnpike near exit 11.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the northbound outer roadway to investigate reports of a crash. When they arrived, police found a vehicle crashed into a guardrail at that location.
A motorcycle was also involved in the collision, according to preliminary reports.
One person was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, suffering a severe leg injury and possible amputation.
Police closed all northbound lanes between exits 10 and 11 for the investigation.
The cause of the crash has not been determined.
