Monmouth County authorities are investigating a pedestrian strike that left one person seriously injured in Brielle late last night.
Emergency Responders were called to the base of the Veteran of all Wars Memorial Bridge at around 10 p.m. where they arrived to find the victim suffering serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at that location.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where the extent of their injuries or their identity has not been released as of early this morning.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
