EMS transported one person to Jersey Shore Medical Center last night after a car struck the victim causing serious injuries.
Police were called to the intersection of Monmouth Avenue and 7th Street at around 9 p.m. to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering serious injuries after a car struck them at that location.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
Police are actively investigating what caused the strike.
