Scotch Plains police are asking the public to avoid the area of Cooper Road as they continue to investigate a serious crash that sent at least one person to the hospital.
Police responded to the 1600 block of Cooper Road shortly after 3:00 p.m. for a report of a serious crash.
Upon arrival, emergency responders extricated a person from a vehicle and flew the victim to University Hospital Newark.
As of 6 p.m., no update was immediately available
as to the current condition of the victim.
However, police are asking residents and commuters to avoid the area of Cooper Road between Terrill Road and Fenimore Road as the investigation continues.
