Police closed all lanes on Route 1 for a crash investigation that resulted in severe injuries early this morning in West Windsor.
According to preliminary reports, the crash happened just after 2:30 a.m. near Washington sending emergency responders to the scene where they arrived to find a male victim suffering life-threatening injuries at that location.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital while police detoured traffic between Alexander Road to Washington Road in the northbound lanes according to reports.
Police reopened all northbound lanes shortly before 5:40 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
