Separate incidents of stabbings sent two people to the hospital in Newark overnight.
Police responded to calls of an injured person on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard a little after 10:30 p.m. where they arrived to the scene and found a person suffering apparent stab wounds at that location.
EMS rushed the alert and conscious vicim to University Hospital in Newark reportedly suffering wounds to the face and flank. The victim's injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
At around 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Mount Prospect Street, police setup a crime scene after they located a seriously injured person who suffered multiple stab wounds according to reports.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and listed in serious condition.
There were no reports of arrests in either stabbings.
The investigations are being handled by the Newark Police Department.
