A 33-year-old mother was arrested last week, after she allegedly left her two 3-year-old kids alone in her parked vehicle while she went shopping.
Police responded to the CVS parking lot on Paterson Plank Road after an anonymous tip was received that two children were yelling and crying inside a locked car in the parking lot.
As police got the kids out of the car, the mother returned from the drug store. She was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The children - although crying and distraught - were unharmed.
The mother was taken into custody but released later that day, with a pending court date.
The father of the toddlers was granted custody of them.
