Secaucus firefighters with mutual assistance from area departments battled a gas-moving fire that destroyed a house in the city Thursday morning.
According to officials, the early morning fire broke out in the 1000 block of Koelle Boulevard at around 2:40 a.m.
Crews arrived at the scene and found raging fire tearing through the roof of a single-family two-story home at that location.
Firefighters surrounded the home and began to extinguish flames that fully engulfed the structure before they made their attempt to get inside to check for trapped and injured occupants.
There were no immediate reports of injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
