Federal and local authorities are on the search for a male who robbed a bank in Toms River this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the NJ-37 Chase Bank to investigate reports of a robbery in progress that occurred just before 3:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, police were told that a white male around 50-years-old with glasses entered the bank and handed a teller a note.
Police say the suspects had a tan jacket with a grey Philadelphia Eagles hoodie underneath, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
The suspect took an unknown amount of proceeds before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
There were no physical injuries reported.
