Ocean County authorities are on the search for a suspect responsible for an armed robbery that occurred at a gas station in Plumsted Township on Monday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 410 Pinehurst Road after they received reports of a robbery at the Valero Gas Station just before 10:35 p.m.
Police officers arrived at the scene began a search for a black male suspect who reportedly displayed a weapon and demanded cash from an employee.
The suspect fled the scene in a grey vehicle after taking about $300 according to reports. Police say the suspect was last observed wearing blue jeans, dark hoodie and is approximately 6'2" tall.
There were no physical injuries reported.
