Newark police are urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating 28-year-old Makena Farrell, who escaped from custody on Friday, September 15, 2023.
Farrell had been arrested a day earlier, on September 14, in the 900 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue on narcotics-related charges.
She escaped at approximately 2:23 p.m. from 480 Clinton Avenue, where she was being detained.
Authorities have provided a description of Farrell: She stands at 5'4" tall, weighs about 160 pounds, and has a medium brown complexion, black hair, and brown eyes.
At the time of her escape, she was dressed in blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and a black and gray sweater.
