Police in Newark are continuing to search for a man wanted for allegedly burglarizing a home in Newark this week.
According to a statement released by police officials, Mr. Lamar Baker is wanted for a burglarizing a home in the 400 block of South 17th Street.
Police say they gathered sufficient information to identify Baker as the suspect who illegally entered the home on South 17th Street then took personal items belonging to the occupants. The information obtained at the scene prompted detectives to apply for and were granted a warrant for Baker’s arrest.
According to police, Baker, 24, is approximately 5’7” , 145 lbs., has black hair and brown eyes.
Baker has a tattoo “Brenda” on the right neck area and is known to frequent South Orange Avenue and South 20th Street.
While police are actively searching for Baker, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from Newark's streets. This investigation is ongoing.
