Residents in North Jersey will experience a shift in weather today.The National Weather Service forecasts a less sunny day with scattered showers, particularly after 3 p.m.
This marks a change from the recent chilly mornings, with today starting at a milder 51 degrees due to weaker winds.
Despite the cloud cover, temperatures are expected to reach a high near 70 degrees. NWS forecasters say winds will vary, starting from the south at 5 to 15 mph before shifting to the west in the afternoon.
These winds could occasionally gust as high as 28 mph, adding a breezy element to the day. The chance of precipitation stands at 30%, making for a potentially damp afternoon.
Tonight, the skies will transition from mostly cloudy to clear, with temperatures dropping to a low of around 36 degrees.
Residents should prepare for a brisk evening following the day's mild and unsettled weather.
