Customers Can Thank Their Favorite NJ TRANSIT Bus, Light Rail, and Access Link Operator or Train Crew Member and Receive a Thanks Back from NJ TRANSIT officials announced.
In recognition of Transit Operator Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 18th, official said NJ TRANSIT is celebrating the men and women who keep the transportation system moving, whether on a train, bus, light rail, or Access Link vehicle, transit officials reported.
Beginning Tuesday, March 21st, NJ TRANSIT has made it possible for customers to thank an NJ TRANSIT employee they appreciate by going to njtransit.com/thanks and letting us know about your favorite transit operator or train crew member!
In return, officials say you may get a “thanks” back from us.
“We thank and appreciate all of our hard-working and dedicated men and women behind the wheel and at the controls who are on the front line of safely operating our fleet,” said New Jersey Department of Transportation Commissioner and NJ TRANSIT Board Chair Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti.
“This is a great way to show our thanks to those who keep New Jersey moving.”
“Transit Operator Appreciation Day is a perfect opportunity to acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of NJ TRANSIT’s operators,” said NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kevin S. Corbett.
“We encourage all our customers to voice their appreciation for their favorite operators – whether online or in-person – to say ‘thank you’ for all they do to keep New Jersey moving, safely and efficiently.”
How it works:
In celebration of “Transit Operator Appreciation Day,” customers can go to njtransit.com/thanks between now and midnight Tuesday, March 21st, to fill out the required form with information about an NJ TRANSIT employee they want to thank, officials said.
According to officials, customers who complete the form may get a special “thanks” in return from NJ TRANSIT!
