A 14-year-old boy allegedly attacked his principal with a knife during a graduation rehearsal.
According to police, the Union School principal in Rutherford was leading the eighth-grade graduation rehearsal at the Washington School gymnasium when the teen ran up to the school leader and stabbed him multiple times with a folding knife.
Police say that after the attack, the teen dropped the knife and put his hands in the air.
A teacher took away the knife and brought the teen to the school police officer where an arrest was made according to police.
Medical professionals say that both the teen and the principal are expected to be OK.
The charges filed against the teen are aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.
