Bergen County authorities announced the arrest of Sean R. Dynan, 34, Rutherford, on charges of luring and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to officials, the arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say in January, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit engaged in online conversations with Sean Dynan, who believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old child.
During the exchanges, Dynan engaged in sexually explicit dialogue and arranged to meet with the purported 14-year-old child for sexual intercourse.
According to authorities, on Wednesday, March 29, Dynan drove to a location in Paramus to meet the purported 14-year-old child, who was actually an undercover detective from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit.
Authorities say Dynan was apprehended without incident.
As a result of the investigation, Sean Dynan was arrested on Wednesday, March 29, in Paramus and charged with second-degree luring and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Dynan was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
