A 53-year-old woman is under arrest for allegedly starting a fire inside her Runnemede apartment.
Runnemede Police and Runnemede Fire Departments responded to a dwelling fire on Feb. 9th at an apartment building located in the area of 300 North Black Horse Pike in Runnemede at approximately 3:58 a.m.
When officers arrived, they gained entry into the apartment of Teresa McKinnie and placed the fire under control.
During the investigation, Runnemede Police Detective Michael Amato learned that McKinnie allegedly caused the fire after attempting to burn personal property that belonged to a former boyfriend.
Police arrested and charged McKinnie with third-degree Arson, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Runnemede Police Chief Paul Daley.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
