An overturned tanker truck carrying hazardous material shutdown Route 18 and the New Jersey Turnpike interchange in East Brunswick.
According to authorities, at around 11:15 a.m. a tractor-trailer that attempted to navigate the ramp from Route 18 south to the Turnpike overturned.
Police said the tanker was carrying, isopropylbenzene, a flammable colorless liquid made of crude oil and refined fuels caused a small spill that was quickly contained.
According to officials, the driver of the tanker suffered minor injuries. There were no other vehicles involved, police added.
The incident is under investigation.
