Linden

A 25-year-old Roselle man was taken into custody after reportedly firing at least one shot outside a Linden barbershop.

According to police, officers responded to the Klippers Barber Shop, 221 W St George Avenue, on a report of shots fired Thursday at approximately 7:45 p.m.

The incident reportedly began when Daniel Vega, 25, of Roselle, reportedly fired at least one shot outside of the business. Vega was arrested after a brief struggle with officers and was unarmed at the time of his arrest.

Vega was charged with third degree terroristic threats, fourth degree aggravated assault, second degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and 2nd degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

He was committed to the Union County Jail on $100,000 bail.
