Roselle Man Accused of Roselle Park Burglary, Arrested

Police arrested a 50-year-old Roselle man after he reportedly stole coins from a coin-operated machine.

According to police, on June 20th, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Detective Richard Cocca, and Det. Edward Nortrup arrested **Leon C. Holston, 50, of Roselle,** for a burglary that was committed on June 13th in Roselle Park.

According to police, on June 13th, an apartment complex in the 200 block of E. Westfield Ave. was forcefully entered by Holston.

Police said once Holston entered the establishment, he tampered with two coin operated dryer’s in the laundry room resulting in the coin mechanism to be pried off and all the change inside the machines was removed.

Holston was identified as the suspect involved and subsequently charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.

Police served Holston with a warrant then arrested him authorities said.

Holston is now lodged in the Union County Jail with no bail.
