Suspects wanted for an armed robbery, and shooting in Newark were taken into custody Wednesday morning.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose, members of the FBI Fugitive Task Force and detectives from Newark Police Division’s Fugitive Apprehension Team took **Dujuan R. Curry, 28,** of Newark, into custody this morning for a robbery that occurred on Monday, January 23, 2017.
According to Director Ambrose, Curry was wanted for allegedly robbing his cousin, a Newark man, at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Clinton Avenue.
Authorities charged Curry with one count of robbery.
Detectives from the Newark Police Department also arrested **Anthony Mollison, 22, of East Orange,** today (Wednesday) for a shooting that occurred on Sunday, January 15, 2017, according to Director Ambrose.
The incident happened at approximately 9:20 p.m., when a 22-year-old male victim was shot in the Bradley Court Housing Complex.
He was transported to University Hospital where he was treated and released Director Ambrose said.
Mollison is charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
These charges are merely accusations.
Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
