Police in Newark are on the search for two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred Sunday.
According to police, at approximately 1:38 p.m., a retired Port Authority Police Officer responded to the 5th Precinct to report that he had discharged his weapon upon two males who demanded his cash in the 800-block of South 14th Street.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident police said
The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’7” tall, wearing a black knitted hat and black leather coat.
The other suspect is describe a black male, also 5’7” tall and wearing a dark baseball cap and red and white gloves.
While police are actively searching for these suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.
This investigation is continuing.
