New Jersey Lottery officials today announced that a retired physical education teacher from Linden, Larry M., claimed one of the $5 million top prizes from the $5,000,000 Cash Extravaganza game.
When he realized that he had won the top prize, Larry shared the news with his wife Beatrice by telling her that she no longer needed to make the long commute to her job in Manhattan. After some explanation, then disbelief, the excitement carried the day.
The couple will help their children pay off some college loans and, “just enjoy the future.”
Paul & Joe Deli and Liquor, located at 500 Chandler Avenue, in Roselle sold the lucky winning ticket.
