Morris County officials announce the investigation of a residential fire that occurred on September 7 at 25 Lamerson Road, Chester.
According to county officials, at approximately 10:44 p.m. on September 7, a Chester Police Officer observed a fire at 25 Lamerson Road while on routine patrol.
Officials said that the Chester Volunteer Fire Company members were able to extinguish the fire with the assistance of fire departments from Peapack-Gladstone, Far Hills, Bedminster, Liberty Corner, Pottersville, New Vernon, Ralston, Mendham Borough, Brookside, Fairmount, Flanders, Budd Lake, and Randolph.
The circumstances of the fire remain under investigation.
However, there is no suspected danger to the public and no injuries were reported.
