A person who somehow got stuck on a cliff in a wooded area of a park in Fort Lee had emergency crews perform a high angle rescue overnight.
According to preliminary reports, Fort Lee Firefighters were called to the vicinity of Hudson Terrace and Merkle Street at approximately 11:30 p.m for a rescue operation.
Firefighters and rescue crews arrived to find the person up about 40 feet on a cliff and became disable after suffering an injury when he fell. Crews were able to locate and secure the person before making the successful rescue.
The victim was transported to and area hospital for further treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
