Two overnight carjackings has police in Newark investigating.
Police responded to the 300 block of North 12th Street at around 4:30 a.m. on reports of a carjacking.
Officers arrived to the scene where they located the victim who told them that at around 9:30 p.m., two black male suspects who were armed with knives ordered him from the vehicle.
The carjacked vehicle is a 2015 black Ford Escape rental car with a reported Connecticut license plate number "3AVBN5".
At around 5 a.m. in the teens block of Wainwright Street, police responded to a reported carjacking where they began a search for two black male suspects who were armed with a gun when they exited a black Jeep Cherokee in the area and took a 2008 4-door red Dodge Magnum with NJ temporary license plates.
There were no physical injuries reported.
