A 26-year-old Rahway man was taken into custody over the weekend after police say he was reportedly driving while intoxicated in Roselle Park.
According to police, Ptl. William Hannon pulled a 2005 Dodge over for a moving and equipment violation Sunday at approximately 1:10 a.m., in Locust Street.
The driver of the vehicle, Kenneth A. Johnson Jr., 26, of Rahway, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and subsequently found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and a weapon (butterfly knife).
He was ultimately charged with DWI, possession of a weapon and possession of c.d.s.
He was served with summonses and released with a court date.
Motor vehicle summonses were also issued, according to police.
