A fire broke out Wednesday evening in Elizabeth sending firefighters to the scene.
According to officials, crews responded to an alley way behind the dollar store, located on Morris Avenue, for reports of a fire.
Upon arrival, fire crews found multiple racks of cardboard fully involved in fire.
Officials say because of the significant exposure prior to arrival, multiple businesses on Morris Avenue were checked for fire extensions.
Although the fire was contained, a vehicle parked in the alley suffered damage from the radiant heat.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
