Shots were fired in an incident on Tuesday evening resulting in property damage in a Paterson community.
According to preliminary reports, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers were called to a neighborhood in the 200 block of Park Avenue, where a man told them that he and his wife heard four or five gunshots in the area.
Police officers canvassed the scene found a car struck by bullets near the Walgreens in the 600 block of East 18th Street according to authorities.
According to police, the witness reported to police that he did not see anyone outside after the gunfire stopped.
Police are looking for a dark-colored vehicle that sped away from the scene immediately after the shooting.
There were no injuries reported.
