One of the easiest ways to get off track in daily execution in business each day is to lack clarity of what's important at the moment, in the day, and life.
As marriedpreneurs, we are building a legacy together, and the only way to do anything in life together is to have a shared goal or desired outcome.
This way, you can even 'divide and conqueror' and still do it together without actually being 'together.'
Make sense?
So, here's what we've found to be a sneaky momentum thief, discussing the daily wins (targets for the day). We do this in our daily legacy meetings that take about 15 min when we are focused.
Here's how this makes us show up as our best selves each day:
✅ Preparation: The meetings are a time to report, not to prepare. So this means we individually must have clarity for the day before the meeting. Personal responsibility. We usually think through the day the night before or on our way walking into the meeting 🙂
✅ Streamline: We all only have 24 hours a day- a portion of that is for sleep. So we only report 3 top wins for the day-knowing good and well, we need to get 30 things done! But this practice helps us focus on what's most important, and everything else on the list becomes an H.M. (honorable mention).
✅ Clarifies Our Time Bank: We each spend our time on different things daily. If you meet for a week and realize each day you say you'll do the same thing- that you never do, it calls you to the carpet. Either change your wins or change your habits. But something has got to change.
This is the first part of knowing priorities; here's an episode if you want to learn four ways to prioritize priorities on the ML podcast here.
Also, tomorrow, we'll share what to do when life happens and priorities are hard to accomplish.
