Potential Thunderstorms Put Fourth of July Weekend at Jersey Shore in Jeopardy

Many beach towns in New Jersey are looking at uncertain weather for the upcoming holiday weekend.

According to the Weather Channel, isolated thunderstorms are predicted up and down the Jersey shore throughout the weekend.

On Friday, July 3, temperatures will hit a high of 80 degrees with humidity around 70%.

Northern shore towns near Sandy Hook and Asbury Park are expected to get clouds during the day. Shore communities further south are more likely to see rain, with towns like Atlantic City and Cape May expecting isolated thunderstorms throughout the day

July 4, will see temperatures and humidity remain about the same as the previous day, at 80 degrees and about 70% humidity.

Rain is predicted in the morning all along with coast with it extending into the evening for southern shore points like Stone Harbor and the Wildwoods.

On July 5, temperatures will remain about the same as the past two days with the humidity hovering right around the same place as well.

The northern shore towns may see showers in the morning with it clearing to clouds later on in the day. The southern shore communities will likely just have clouds for most of the day.

As the holiday weekend gets closer the reports may change so people traveling to the Jersey shore should keep a close eye on the forecast.
