Police Want to Question Newark Woman for Shooting

Newark Police seeks the public’s help with locating Theonia Webster, 47, of Newark, who is wanted for questioning in a shooting that occurred on July 2. 

Police said the shooting occurred around 8 p.m. in the 20 block of Broad Street when the victim parked his vehicle on that street.  

According to police, when he returned, the victim discovered a shell casing on the ground and he noticed that the side mirror on his vehicle had been damaged.

Officers who responded to the scene recovered two additional shell casings. As they canvassed the area, the officers learned that another vehicle, a Black 2003 Ford Expedition, was struck by gunfire. 

Police said Webster, a Black female, is described as 5’1” and 220 pounds with hazel eyes, brown hair, and a medium complex.
