Police Want to Question Newark Woman Regarding Ironbound Theft

Newark Police requests the public’s help in identifying a woman wanted for questioning in connection with the investigation of a carjacking that occurred on Monday, January 24. 

Police said at approximately 3:25 p.m., a male entered the vehicle of a driver who was allowing her vehicle to warm up in the area of Oliver Street and McWhorter Street.

According to police  victim stepped outside of her car, a black 2015 black BMW X5 Wagon, and the suspect approached her vehicle from Pacific Street, entered it, and fled westbound on East Kinney Street.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the pictured woman, wanted only for questioning, as part of their investigation.
